My aunts constantly argue over who should care for my grandma. In the end she stayed with my family. I knew that one day I will have to share the burden although I'm not her daughter. I just didn't think the day would come so soon.

I know, that's how it was during that awful, traumatic year that passed between my grandma falling ill and dying. It really was horrible and it is a burden, whether hypocrites want to admit it or not. Care homes exist for a reason and there's no shame in choosing them.
