A sad state of affairs

The subway station is always filled with homeless people charging the shared cell phone they share and taking a nap with what little belongings they possess. Every few meters, there is a homeless man begging for food and money. There is a sever hard drugs problem in the city. People openly do drugs everywhere. The sidewalks have human feces and smell of urine. When it rains, it mixes up. I keep coming across people who are losing their jobs due to mass lay offs by companies. I am always approached by men who are about to lose their jobs with marriage proposals. They want me to save them financially. When I do not respond, they lose their minds and become vindictive in a bad way. People are not able to pay their bills and control spending within their means. One neighbor could not pay his bills and the creditors kept coming. Another creditor kept pestering me about the whereabouts about a neighbor, who had not paid his/her bills. How would I know? I know nothing. I always find bags of good things thrown in the community garbage bin when I go to throw the garbage. People have to leave the country or get evicted at the last moment.
