Why does everyone want to die

WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYONE WANT TO KILL THEMSELVES!!!! guys I'm only a teenage......four of my closest friends have told me they want to end their lives 2 of them have attempted multiple times. I want to help them so badly but I don't know how to, I can't change their mind I can't stop them or force them to get help. I can't always be there for them and that makes me feel like a horrible person. I know it's not my fault but if they actually went through with it I don't know what I would do. What do I say to them?? What do I do to change their minds and keep them here? And how do I keep myself from breaking at the same time?? I genuinely don't know what to do anymore, and I kind of understand where they are coming from but still I can't lose them or anyone. I just want them to be okay. please. please. pleaseeeeee
