this sucks

I am trying to watch that Hannah Montana anniversary special. So contrived and fake. About what I expected, honestly. It's now to the point where her weird ass mom is on there, making it all about her. She's so fake. These heavily orchestrated "intimate conversation" type specials are sad. The person kissing Miley's ass annoys me. Like I like Hannah too, she's not God tho.

Skimming around it seems to be nothing but a Wikipedia type overview, the kind of shit that anyone watching would already know. "Miley lived in Tennessee and auditioned." "She wasn't a seasoned actor." "The show was a success."

There are these concert performance parts sprinkled in between. Miley lacks the energy really needed to make the performances fun. It keeps cutting to women around mine and Miley's age, some of them really give me obnoxious drunk girl vibes. And the background dancers look like Mr. Slave from South Park.

And I really don't want to see the shit of her dad (who she is supposed to have a strained relationship with) sitting there and saying with the microphone attached and the cameras rolling, "I love ya kiddo." Like maybe it was having shit parents who'd put in front of people coming out, but all I see when I see shit like this, is fake.

I don't know what I really hoped to get from this, but this wasn't it. I kinda figured it would have sucked, but wanted to see as much as I could stomach and I did. Just going off the top of my head here, what if it could have been one, singular 20 minute episode. No funeral lighting. No obnoxious cameos from a billion celebrities. Something of Miley/Hannah living life now, quiet life, and going to like a bar/party for a Hannah celebration and people being surprised at it actually being her. Something that embraced the fun and spirit of the show (which is why people still like it) while also acknowledging that it's no longer 2006.
