The DC Out Of Towners

DC Mayor Bowser's got her hands full dealing with Trump's occupation of her city w/ the alphabet soup of federal agencies and armed forces and no legal recourse to hobble it in any way because of DC's constitutional status as a federal district under exclusive jurisdiction of Congress run by Trump though his toadies, so she's wisely announced she's not going to be dealing with Trump's red meat to his bases shitshow another term 2026.

Just hours after her announcement an Afghanistan man, allowed into the US after 20 years of US efforts to try and instill in the Afghans some esprit de corps to fight for themselves to keep the Taliban from returning to power turned into to spectacularly epic fail of the Taliban rolling right back into power with not even a bit of opposition caused the US to offer refugee status to those that could make it onto the "last chopper out", drove from where he was living in Washington state to DC to do the attack on the National Guard Trump's ordered there.

Let's break this down: This guy, who should be back home in Afghanistan fighting for his country against the Taliban, decided to drive his ass clear across country to make life harder for the female black DC mayor of a historically predominately black city. She has been catching it from all sides while steering her city steadily and unprovokingly though the Trump shitshow to not incur any further punitive action on her city from Trump. Now she's getting 500 more National Guardsmen in DC & more laser focus from Trump on her city for more red meat to toss to his base since these two guardsmen are from Maga country WV & look like the Magaworld's ideal of what a true American should be.
