Steven Colbert

As a kid who was too young to even understand 95%+ of the jokes he made on early Colbert Report, I was still a fan. I thought he was funny.

As an adult, I can look back at early Colbert Report or his book and see now with an understanding of what he was talking about, of how he actually was funny. He made fun of Bill O'Riley and shitheads like him. That was the joke. Conservative jackass commenter, going on about good old fashioned moral values, and how liberals are taking our freedoms away. Insert jokes about apple pie.

Then over time he became very liberal and all his comedy for like the last 10+ years has been nothing but anti Trump nonsense. It's a total 180 and it's like the Steven of 20 years ago would kick the current one's ass.

I saw a comment on YouTube where someone said they always got the sense Steven seemed like a very angry deep down. Looking back at old Daily Show or Strangers With Candy clips, he does seem like a timebomb. So, probably like most celebrities, of being some really phony, fucked up person who sold their soul for fame and then destroyed whatever goodwill they had by selling out even further with time.

I just wish he'd be funny again. And Jon Stewart sucks now. All the shit where his currrent writers are people younger than me who know nothing of Daily Show besides whatever they saw on Youtube before applying for their job, who then kiss his ass and pretend all the "I hate Donald Trump your a poopy hed if you like him" shit is funny. It's not and I refuse to watch him anymore.
