October Surprise Month

Welp, tonight's going to be Walz & Vance on the big stage and it's the 1st day of October Surprise month. It's also former President Jimmy Carter's birthday, a man who on the surface Walz's humble pie common man demeanor sort of resembles. But not really because Walz's is an affectation while Carter's is innate. Tonight will be the night to see if Harris has made her first huge misstep, picking Walz for running mate instead of one the harder to control craven politicians on the list who have their own eyes on the prize she's trying to get and who might backstab her the first chance they get. They learn from example and backstabbing's work out quite well for Harris - even though her supporters did the backstabbing while she professed loyalty. Team Harris will be holding their breath tonight, hoping they dug deep enough while vetting a person who comes across as a person who needs no vetting. If they didn't they'll lose votes for sure. Democrats do not operate like Republicans. They won't "vote policy instead of personality" as the NC GOP has reminded their voters to do when their gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson was recently found out to be one of the "pervs" he speaks of on the campaign trail.
