How social media unfortunately works

It absolutely disgusts me that people can make actual money from making other people unhappy online now if you have the slightest knowledge of how social media platforms work what happens if they push the content you’re most likely to interact with and generally for many people who made the honest mistake of interacting with content they dislike online that usually involves random political statements that involve none of us yet piss us all off it causes us to see the worst side of people like Charlie Kirk, Dean Withers Tucker Carlson, basically any political debater when in reality if you ask me, you could give anybody a mic and a platform on which to use it tell them to talk about politics and they will seem like the most trash, disgusting person to at the very least the people who disagree with them
When in reality, the real subhuman trash are the people who actively enjoy rage baiting the other side or anyone for that matter and even then it’s not a good idea to call it what it is because it’s never 100% certain that someone you disagree with is going to be actual subhuman trash instead, maybe you could treat people not only with kindness, but as if they treat others with kindness. If that didn’t make sense treat people as if they deserve the kindness, even if they don’t people like to feel like they deserve things so please if you think it’s actively hurting your livelihood, maybe instead of next time commenting on ragebait you could just hit Not interested and save yourself some stress
