why do ppl gotta make everything negative

People throw the the word "entitled" around too loosely now. I got called dismissive of someone's suggestion after asking for a favor and got told that their sarcastic reply towards me was warranted since I was dismissive of their suggestion. Refusing suggestions doesn't always mean being dismissive. Do I need to be all flowery with my words to refuse someone's idea to make sure they don't get hurt!? I wasn't even mean, I didn't say "that's stupid or ARE YOU EVEN THINKING?" Maybe blunt for refusing their suggestion but they are called suggestions for a reason! "No. I don't have it and i won't use it." Like I know they're trying to help but that ruins the point of the favor. I don't need to say "THANK YOU I WILL DO EXACTLY THAT". Everyone has their own reasons for not wanting to follow suggestions! Then a bystander said I was entitled and maybe they would've been nicer and did what I asked if I had just said please. I then said, I did! Then they changed their argument to "well you added, if you could do that for me then that would be great" and said that me adding "that would be great" negated the please, just like how continuously saying sorry but still doing something negates the sorry. SO THEY DID ACKNOWLEDGE I SAID PLEASE AND LIKE BE FOR REAL THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, THE SORRY THING YEAH I GET, BUT THAT IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY THE SAME. I EVEN DOUBTED MY SKILLS IN ENGLISH. I was in disbelief because people kept attacking me just for asking for a VOLUNTARY FAVOR. How am I entitled? Because I acknowledge that you can refuse to do the favor because IT'S A FAVOR. They were pressed so I said if they didn't want to do it they can just move on instead of attacking me if they don't want to do it (which yeah in hindsight not the best reply, but bruh i was already tired and couldnt think straight. I was about to go to sleep last night but then it started flooding outside so I had to put things up before I could even sleep!) like I understand asking a favor is a lot to ask but I guess asking other people for favors isn't allowed now because that makes me entitled! I wasn't even asking for a kidney or a house or all of their money. I was asking for the equivalent (equivalent given for more anonymity) of asking someone to send me a text if they see happen to see the ice cream truck pass by. Like just pass the message! I've seen tons of other people ask the same exact favor and people happily do it but just because I refused the 1st guys suggestion of downloading a mobile app THAT I HAVE BAD MEMORIES OF (YEAH IT'S DISCORD), The bystander even started provoking me and said "well, hope you get your ice cream, I gotta go and finish miiiiine." I became a terrible person that deserved to be attacked even though the guy was sarcastic towards me first. "That would be great" is sarcastic when used oppositely but I genuinely meant it?!?! Even my younger brother told me that saying "no thank you" if someone asks to hang out is WRONG and that I should say "no I'm busy" BECAUSE SAYING NO THANK YOU MEANS I DON'T LIKE THEM. what??? that's crazy. I gotta be mindful to not be polite?!? And my cousin got mad at my mom for saying "drive safely" and got offended because "he always drives safely". Why do people always gotta twist the meaning to cover up them being rude? i was even standing minding my own business the other day and someone said "typical", like wtf? and "they didn't mean anything by it". it's crazy man. but i also see i need to fix how easily i get angry when im low on sleep because I have never gotten angry because of how dumb someone's argument was. normally i just laugh it off. they wanted to be right so badly.
