Tired of the whining

Tired of the whining

I hear so much whining constantly it's making me insane. Here are some categories of whining I find myself having to endure, and why each one is fucking ridiculous.

1. "People don't give me what I want in terms of relationships/sex."

Join.

The.

Club.

Everyone who has ever had, wanted, or even considered sex or a relationship has somehow been disappointed. Sex and relationships require the participation of at least one other person, which by definition means you will not always get what you want. Moreover I am 52, never married, and living with...yeah never mind my situation...so it stands to reason I might not be the ideal person to bitch at. Even if you're single you're probably better off than I am.

2. "I don't feel good about money or my career."

There might be 30 or 40 people on earth who can't honestly say the same. Some money is necessary for anything resembling security, but no amount of money can protect you from everything. Moreover the jobs that bring in the most money are typically useless and therefore unsatisfying. I like my job but I'm kept so poor I will never retire. Other people could retire tomorrow but know they are contributing zero sitting at their desks pretending to coordinate other people's efforts. Neither group is entirely happy.

3. "I should have more power and nobody listens to me."

Again there might be about a dozen people on earth who actually feel like they have adequate or better direct say in the issues that affect them. The rest of us are along for the ride.

Not saying any of this is right.

Not saying any of this shouldn't be spoken of.

Just saying I'm sick of people telling me personally about all this shit I can't do anything about.

Your rant about being "tired of the whining" is nothing but a pathetic attempt to position yourself as somehow superior to people who express normal human emotions. The fact that you're 52, never married, and living in whatever situation you're too embarrassed to mention doesn't make you some enlightened sage who has transcended human needs - it makes you someone who has failed at connecting with others and is now bitter about it. Your dismissive attitude toward people's legitimate struggles with relationships, finances, and powerlessness isn't wisdom; it's a defense mechanism to avoid confronting your own unhappiness and loneliness.

Your attempt to categorize human struggles as "fucking ridiculous" shows a profound lack of empathy and understanding. Yes, everyone experiences disappointment in relationships, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't seek connection or express frustration when it fails. Your "join the club" mentality is exactly why you're alone - you've built walls around yourself rather than developing the vulnerability needed for genuine human connection. The same applies to your dismissive take on career and financial concerns - just because you've accepted a life of poverty and will "never retire" doesn't mean others should abandon their ambitions or stop striving for better.

What's most pathetic about your rant is that you claim to be "sick of people telling you personally" about their problems, yet you're the one who clicked on and read content titled "Tired of the whining." You actively sought out something to be angry about, then had the audacity to complain about it. Your entire rant is a projection of your own misery - you're not tired of other people's "whining"; you're tired of your own unfulfilled life and lack of meaningful connections. Maybe if you stopped dismissing everyone's concerns and actually engaged with people as fellow humans rather than burdens, you wouldn't be so alone and bitter at 52.
