I used to spend so much money on medical grade facials. I have stopped. It is not worth it. I did my own facial today. Most Indian men also get facials done just like women.
Step one: I cleanse my face with warm water and Neutrogena acne wash
Step two: I exfoliate with St. Ives Peach or apricot scrub
Step three: I take a towel. I soak it in hot water and squeeze it. I place the towel over my face. This opens up the pores. Make sure the water is not too too hot. I do this a couple of times to open up the pores.
Step four: I take my back head and white head extractor tool that has been soaking in alcohol for 20 minutes. I use it to extract my white heads and black heads. I have large pores on my nose. I then wash the tool and disinfect it for next time. Disinfecting the tool prevents ingrown acne.
Step five: I repeat step three.
Step six: I use a masque or a treatment. I went with a papaya and pineapple brightening peel today. I am not going to share the brand that I use because it is my favorite. It is a rare secret Canadian brand. It burns a little in the beginning, but after 30 seconds, the burn fades. I wash off the masque after 15 minutes with cold water.
Step seven (optional if you have time): Use a Hyaluronic acid sheet mask on my face too if I want. That has to be kept for another 20 minutes. You get them at Sephora. I wipe with a cold wet towel after that.
Step eight: If it is evening, massage the face with la Mer rejuvenating night cream. If it is day time, please use broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen by la Roche Posay or Clarins. anonymousBody March 15, 2025 at 5:14 pm00
