Please do not encourage her

I love her more than anyone, AND we all know my wife's mental illness makes her post unhinged crap on social media which has no basis in reality. It's literally delusional. I'm not saying that to be pejorative. She is literally suffering from delusional thinking, and that is the clinical way to describe this. She has delusions of both grandeur and persecution. I still love her, as evidenced by the fact that I am not only still in the marriage but pay out of pocket for her to have whatever therapy and medication helps, whether our insurance covers it or not. When I'm not sitting through still another round of "I used to be rich and famous and powerful and happy until I got canceled," I consider her a better woman than I've known anywhere. In truth however, she was never beyond middle class, she was well respected locally but that's it, and you can't deplatform someone who never had much influence even here, never mind globally.

All our friends know about her problems, and I wish they would step back and just stop giving her positive attention no matter what delusions she spouts online. Go ahead and give her reactions when she's doing things based in reality, walking the dog and considering going back to school and so on, but when she's just about literally hallucinating a whole past and a whole life and showing it to the world, please just scroll away. No response at all is powerful. How are people not embarrassed both for her and by their own behavior here?
