Why is my life a joke? A guy my mom has been dating that is now in current shambles confessed to liking me, I look up to him as a father figure and it fucking sucks! I hate this so much.

That is lowkey a red flag. An older dude saying that to someone much younger is kinda creepy. (To be fair, he could mean that he likes you as in that he likes your company, but based on how you word it that seems to not be the case.)
