Hmmm

Hello to whoever is reading this! I'm not sure if anyone will reply but I figure to just go for it. So I met one of my now best friends at my job 6 months ago and we clicked instantly, even though we're both introverts unwilling to put ourselves out there. But when December came, I realised I liked him or rather I'm in love with him because we have the kinda friendship where we laugh and joke with each other and it feels like a relationship with no label. Now, I'm still unsure if he likes me back but all our colleagues think he does or that we're together because we flirt a lot, we engage in physical touch a lot and we follow each other everywhere. But I've grown up as a girlie who has never received that, or had a boy bestie who acted in that way. I've tried to ask him out several times as friends, to which he has said no which I have found out recently is due to him wanting to be more comfy with me which I said makes sense and we'll get there when we get there. But like, I'm not a man so I can't tell if he likes me so if anyone reads this who IS, I'll detail some behaviours to give you a sense of what I mean:
-He buys me food sometimes when I ask, and we will share food (like bites from the same thing, drink from the same bottle)
-We play fight a lot and end up touching/holding hands a lot
-We talk everyday + see each other a lot (at work ofc, sometimes going out of our way to see the other)
AND he went out of his way to visit me at work ON HIS BIRTHDAY for like no reason and said that us being together for 6 days was equivalent to the distance of neptune and the sun which I thought was crazy but idk, so please tell me, is there a chance he could like me or do I just give up?
