GUYS PLS HELP ME

My boyfriend and I are both 16 and sophomores in high school. I started liking him in December and we started dating in February. Not that it matters but I'm a Pisces and he's an Aries, but moving on. Keep in mind this boy is like one of those hot nerds that plays guitar in a band and looks likes he's never been touched or loved by a woman besides his mom, because it's true, he's literally never had a gf before.

I think over the weekend or yesterday his grandma died, and he was really close with her. Yesterday (Monday) he left from school really early, I mean left at like 8 or 9 am. His friends told me that he was really tired and sort of sad so after school on Monday I asked him why he wasn't at school and that I missed him. A few hours later he said it was some family issues. I saw him at school today and I was walking to his class and that's when he told me about his grandma. We did the usually thing which is hug and kiss before he does in his class. Today he did seem off, like I was asking him if he was okay and he said he was fine and not doing so good. Usually he's really good but again not today. But when he hugged outside of his classroom, he LITERALLY SWERVED MY FUCKING KISS AND SAID NOT TODAY LIKE BRO like WTF.

I of course wished him the very best and I gave him my condolences and told him how bad I feel for his lost, but it really hurt me when he swerved my kiss today. Guys I don't think you understand how much I love his man like I'm obsessed with him he's all I ever talk/think about and he's for sure the best guy that I've dated and I feel like he loves me too. I'm really not trying to make this about me but I was talking to my friends and one of my friends told me that he doesn't love me and another one of my friends just said to give him space (which is what I think I should do).

Again I'm not trying to make it about me and not trying to discount the fact that he's going through a lot right now but it really hurt me because he's never dodged me before. As a matter a fact, he usually the one that pulls me in for one.

YALL PLS LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO. LIKE PLS I REALLY LOVE THIS MAN LIKE SO BAD. thank youu
