Friend that I have now establish a clear boundary

When I have a friend that I have known for 7 years and that she chose to side against "friends" that she knew less than 1 year. Disappointing but on a bright side I guess it reflects her true character and that I learnt a valuable lesson here that no one can be trusted forever. She can continue to be their friends I mean their character and energy matches each other alot but I guess I am abit too high to go down that low to understand ??
