Disappointed and a bit surprised
I have this friend who went to another country because of a job, and we always talked on how I will visit her when I get the chance.She even always say she will take a leave for me when I do go there.
Come the day next week that I will already visit for 6 days and she can’t meet with me. Hahahahahahaha I’m not even expecting for her to take leaves for the whole time I’m there. Just a meal or coffee would be nice.
Not to be entitled but she kept my hopes up and I really do want to visit her. I even specifically chose that part of the country because she said it was closer to her. I should have chosen the other one instead.
I’m so disappointed. I hope you didn’t say all those words if you can’t commit to even just 1 day or even just 1 meal.

I have been wanting to visit ever since she got there two years ago but the tickets were too expensive until I moved somewhere nearer to her country.
I’m not mad at her, just disappointed that she always told me that she will make time. If she didn’t get my hopes up, I wouldn’t have expectations. I always wanted to surprise her by visiting. We’ve been friends for over 2 decades. I’m actually in a pretty tight situation in life and I can’t always just visit whenever I want.

Here's my experience that might put yours in a better perspective.
I had a 50 years best friend. She goes on a drastic weight loss program that she used her medical knowledge as a nurse to expedite the weight loss and that caused a lot of complications which she for about 5 months texted me all the TMI gory details and I always supportively responded back.
Well I had a fall that I had to got to the ER for because I cracked my head on a toilet painting that missed taking out an eye by inches. Then 5 days later I had to go to Urgent Care Eye Care to see if there was damage to the eye because I was having vision problems. By this time I had a painful shiner (which lasted 2mos) like Ali had punched me in the face, headaches, and my whole head was swollen. A day after the Urgent Care visit, in comes another text about her latest drama that I supportively responded to as always, but then told of my accident and all the issues. Have not heard back from this narcissistic self-centered bitch and that's been almost a year ago. I kept sending holiday cards & texts with no reciprocation until I cut that off for the New Year. I even checked the obits, and with a mutual friend, so the bitch isn't dead. But guess what, she is dead to me now -- for good.
