Zelensky Can Keep His Rocks

Zelensky's coming to DC Wednesday w/ hat in hand and a bucket loads of rare mineral rocks for payment for what gets dropped in his hat now & in past. Bad deal, US isn't desperate for the minerals, so why bother getting tied up in a deal with a country that may not even be a country in the next year. The main mining operation for these minerals is regularly targeted by Russians even though it's in central Ukraine not as yet under Russian control. The US is not going to war w/ Russia for a bunch of rocks it does not need on the other side of the world; in fact there's nothing in Ukraine the US needs or is currently obligated to defend under NATO treaty. If the sudden need arises for these minerals, Greenland would be easier for US to seize with only 65K people w/ Denmark not being capable of defending their colonial territory a la Britain & Falkland islands. For this meeting, best US interest would be if this meeting turns out like Trump's 2016 dinner meeting w/ Romney at the Jean-Georges restaurant, and Zelensky leaves w/ empty hat.
