What happened to empathy, I remember days when people actually cared about each other even if they had a different opinion, religion, sexual identity, whatever. Now all I see is Person A has opinion X so they are evil. Or even politics/religion it used to be I feel that even if you differed on those things you could still like them as a person, NOW its all "you're a cool person, but before we become friends what party are you oh your [red] [blue] sorry we cant be friends and you deserve to die.
I'm so tired of this crap man can we not just agree to disagree

Empathy, the digital age killed that. Empathy is really a fancy name for the Golden Rule version "Do for others as you would have them do for you." No need for that now. Car broke, need a ride? Used to be you hit up a friend, let them stew with that empathy factor those awkward seconds before they usually say yes, even though they wished they could say no, but realize they may be in your shoes needing a ride. Now you can call an uber, even here in the sticks where I live. Some places you don't even have to pass the time of day politely with the Uber driver, you can call a Waymo. anonymous 8 hours ago

Some people will like apples. Some people will like oranges. It is up to the two groups to get along. Common sense. Sara Suzzi Kim Chi 6 hours ago
