Trifling Relatives

That time of year again, the new year where the resolve for a Life Upgrade for 2026, will be declared only to wind up being same shit different year by Valentine's Day. Stuck in this shitty town I can't stand with people, including the blood relations, not just in the town but far & wide not liked any better. These people don't not even bother to tell me of a death requiring my service attendance has occurred until two days later, probably after some 6th cousin 5 times removed even got a notification.

The sibling: We have repeatedly discussed slow notification by one particular relative, and we both agree the bitch is too self absorbed, in his dealings with her he's even put her as being phony & I do kind of agree. This sibling gets family issue notifications from me ASAP as soon as I get them. Come to find out this fucker knew of the death -- when I as usual texted this important news when I found out 27th afternoon from a cousin who makes special effort to keep up with "strays" in the family. But from about 3pm for 3hrs on the 25th I had to suffer though multiple texts from the fool sibling complaining about the place he was invited to for Christmas dinner ranging from the late start to what is being served like he is a 5y/o child instead of a 71y/o grown ass old man. A day later 26th, crickets when he's in possession of important family news.

The self-absorbed relative: This bitch texted me at 10:00pm Dec 26 to thank me for my gift & to update me her travel schedule, no mention of the death at all that happened on the 25th which she had to have known about because she's visiting her brother who lives in the same area as the deceased & their family & extended family, and he's in close contact with them. But guess what, this bitch will ring my ass up every single time, year round, when looking for money for some church activity she's doing.

The trifling-ass uncle: Just talked to this loser on the 24th to wish him a good holiday, as I do for all the holidays. Found out he's been knowing about the death since the 26th, but no call from him. Until about 4yrs ago when the economy tightened I always gave him $100 for some yearly Easter related church event. He never missed hitting up my phone to collect that.

The trifling-ass cousin: This one's spending the holidays back home here 5 mins away & I've spoken to or visited this bitch at least 2-3 times every week since her return. The last time was the 25th -- for over 45 mins she kept me on the phone. Yet still when I text her the news, she says she's known since the 26th. This bitch never fails to call my ass when she needs a ride, because she doesn't drive, like I'm some sort of personal Uber.

And those are just the top of mind ones. Plenty of others who ring my damn phone when they need or want something all year long, but don't call when there's some important actionable family news I need to know about.
