To the one I once love

When I first listen to the song I love you, I'm Sorry by Gracie Abrams, I suddenly felt the familiar pain I've experienced before. I somewhat relate to the title of the song because It's the exact words I wanted to say to him. Words that too late to be spoken.

I can't say this to anyone, that's why here I am... If this letter reach to you, I want to say sorry. I'm too guilty by the pain I inflicted to you, that I always blame myself for it. You didn't deserve to be hurt, I pushed you away so many times. I know that you only wanted to save me, that you only wanted to help, but you know, I don't want that. I don't want your life to revolves only around me. That's why I pushed you away. I know you have dreams, and I don't want to be a hindrance.

I promised you a future with me but perhaps I might not be able to fulfill that. I'm sorry if I became harsh to you. I'm sorry for all the painful words I have said. I'm sorry for not telling you my problems, I'm sorry for thinking that I would only be a burden to you, I'm sorry for everything. I deserve to be not forgiven by you. I deserve to suffer alone for my decisions. I'm sorry.

I guess that's really how life goes, we loved each other but we still chose to end things up. But I love you, and I will never stop loving you.
