They say who you're with

Is a reflection of shit inside. Like, either the person represents your past broken relationships/insecurities. Or, the person is just as good or bad as you are. Maybe both.

I saw an acquaintance's SO and wanted to fucking laugh. Not only do I look 1000X better than this person, I am not a childish fuck like the person they are dating. They must be equals. Seems neither really care about one another. No chemistry.

Me? Let's see. Does the on-off, undefined situation with some cold little bitch I knew growing up count? We both had shit parents and were afraid of relationships and shit, and kind of flirted and put up walls around each other. Does it count since we both indirectly and years apart said "I love you" ? Or, all of the chasing and flirting that happened in between?

What about the person who I went out with earlier this year? The one who was burrying herself in work, seemingly in some pursuit of righting a wrong and getting approval from people who will never give it to her? How we both kind of were guarded and very much alike in that regard. Wanting relationships, but still being in overworked/guarded states to where it wasn't really truly possible.

So, I get my shit. I forgot to mention the one I had a crush on, who later got busted for playing real life Breaking Bad. I was in love with them. They were into me too. But, two guarded, fucked up people don't make a right, do they?
