SCHOOL UPDATING REQUIRMENTS WITHOUT NOTICE

I have to take non-major science options where you take two classes, one beginner then the next level up, and the only options were geology, physics, and computer science. I genuinely hate physics and geology seemed useless, so I went with computer science because I was told it's useful for data tracking an analysis and has a lot of use in my field which is biology. I survived the first level where you just learned Python and thought "well that sucked but I'll survive the next class!" NOPE. The first class was literally just learning the language and how to use it, that's it. This class? DEVELOPMENT, USER INTERFACE, AND LEARNING JAVA FROM SCRATCH. In the class's defence I just really suck at computer science and it's not really meant to be a hard class. Normally I would suck it up... except recently without any notice the school updated graduation requirements for my major so that the non-major science options include environmental sciences, data science, energy science, more earth science courses other than geology like natural history of the Earth and those are just the subjects, there are now over a dozen classes when originally there were six. Like gee thanks I could've taken a class I actually am good at and enjoy instead of this class where I have a mental breakdown every time I open the software. Not only that they made an optional class now mandatory and updated the requirements so that I now no longer qualify for that class and have to take another class, putting me behind my graduation timeline. Before you tell me to talk to an advisor an important thing to note is that when I tried to make an appointment they told me that because it's course registration time they only do drop-ins and I'd have to line up before they open because it's first come first serve, and the line up can begin as early as 7 am. Not like I wanted to graduate anytime soon T_T
