What is it with these high school girls going to proms, formals, etc, and having thousand dollar dresses, shoes, professionally-done makeup and nails, jewelry, etc. They look more like Hollywood awards show women in their 30s than high school girls. I'm not against them doing it up, but it seem overboard. Guys, too. The high-end tuxes, party limos, expensive watches. Whatever happened to girls just getting a nice dress from the store, guys getting, in some cases, their first suit, borrowing the family car, and going to these things?

When did everything become so ultra-adult and high-end, that parents spend more on proms and formals than their own stuff? It sets up unreasonable expectations for life for them.

This isn't new. The spoiled assholes are of course going to go all out. Gotta get professional photographer pictures taken of the girl and the guy she's going to stop talking to after the end of the night.

I was a teen in the 2010s. A girl I liked did this. Photographer pics. Limo. Not sure if she paid or her parents/friends parents did. Either way, spoiled privileged bitch.

Long story short, played real life Breaking Bad and is now stuck in the past. Talking about old cartoons and shit, and middle school shit like it's still going on.

I didn't get to go to school, so no prom for me. I was at a McDonald's a few months before what would have been senior prom. These trashy girls were sitting there, talking how they didn't have a date, expecting me to ask one of them out.

I didn't exist until my early 20s, then I had soooo much to do and work through to even have a chance. I looked to morons like I was uptight and sheltered for not wanting to drink or do drugs because I had enough shit wrong with me.

Now? I'm at the tail end of my 20s and have finally made it to the other side. People still don't really get me, but so what. I now have the stability most of these retards won't because I don't take it for granted, and don't spend $2000 a month on takeout, tattoos, smut, and vapes.

99.999 of people who obsessed over drama and B's in high school remain that way forever. Spoiled retards who spend the rest of their lives drinking and talking about the good ol days. And in the "good ol days" all they did was complain and act like life was going to give them everything.
