For some context, me and my ex broke up in November of 2025. We ended the relationship (I did), due to a few reasons. To be brief, he quit his job and lied to me, telling me he was fired (this led to me financially supporting him), he used my money to take other girls out (I found this out after I had ended things), he was not home on time (No I am not a crazy you-know-what, if he said "ill be home at 6", I had dinner ready and he wouldnt come home from his 4-wheeler ride with his buddies (that I was funding due to him not having a job)). I was treated like a maid, chef, and bank. I was not respected, whatever, basic 20 year old dating issues. Do not get me wrong, I love doing the cleaning, and the cooking, and generally being a housewife, but when it gets to a point of financial exploitation, lying, cheating, and disrespect - I'm out. This relationship lasted for 1.5 years. Well, December rolls around and while my grandmother is dying of cancer in the hospital (which he knew), he took the valve stems out of my parents truck while i was three hours away at university. My parents could not get to the hospital to see my dying grandmother, and it ruined a set of two thousand dollar tires. he did this again two months later. We had it on camera and chose not to press charges. The police spoke to him and he was told not to come near the property. I cut all contact with him at that point, so did my parents. For another bit of context he lives 6 houses down from me on the same street. Anyway, a couple months go by, My father and Grandfather pass away, and on the day of my grandfathers funeral, that's where this story turns from just context, to my actual rant. This mf tried to run me over on the sidewalk with a moped I bought for him during our relationship at about 9:30 at night. I was on a walk, trying to deal with grief and all that, and he saw me, did a whole loop to get back to me, crossed traffic, got on the side walk, and tried to mow me down. okay, fine, I pressed charges, he pled guilty to assault with a weapon, sentencing is this November. He just recently got his class 7.2 (graduated licensing, he can drive without a licensed driver in the car but has a passenger limit and a curfew) and his father has been letting him drive his car. Issue is, he has not been responsible with it. Not paying for gas, not being home on time, not picking his dad up from work. Again whatever, not my circus, BUT, tell me why, after pleading guilty to assault (with a motor vehicle), and showing that he cannot be trusted to be responsible with a vehicle, his parents solution was to buy him a car. Excuse me? I am a full time Uni student and I don't even have a car. He has an assault charge with a vehicle, and cant even be trusted with his parents car. AND what about gas, and insurance? Are they paying for that too?? That is insane to me. Especially because his family is the definition of low income. It makes no sense. How, as a parent, do you buy your son a car four months after he tried to run his ex girlfriend over? where is the parental responsibility?
