Lifers at work

I fucking HATE lifers at any work place. These are the people who think because they've been there for 50 years that they are above all of the rules. They shit talk the boss and play by their own rules. Fuck any rules or safety laws. They do what they want, how they want, the way that they want. Then they score keep and talk down to everyone else, to project their insecurities of knowing deep down that they are dog shit.

The thing that makes me most sick about them is how they try to push out people who they deem a threat. My first job was at a restaurant. Two lifers were there. One was a smartass cunt, the other was a bit more manipulative and would cry to customers about making only $3 an hour so they'd give tips, they would tip her and she'd never report the tip income, so she'd get minimum wage on top of the tips and usually leave with like $200 a day. Meanwhile I was barely getting around that a week and worked 4-5 days.

Both of these bitches never saw me as a threat. I was just a little boy in another position. The young girls who tried to work there tho? Fuck no. They got pushed. The cunt lifer would slam dishes and attempt to intimidate the young girls when other people weren't around. The manipulative one would have it to where they would never get any tables that would leave tips, so these girls would end up with maybe $9 an hour or so if lucky, and would actually be working their asses off in between what few customers they'd get to wait on. These girls would never last long at the job because of this shit, and it's pathetic these lifer cunts really thought some girl who was late teens/early 20s was going to scheme to take their job. The worst thing is there was this server one time who was like a grandkid or something to the manipulative one, and she still wasn't given a chance. Fucked over by her own kin.

When I was in my later 20s, I ended up at a place with two lifers. Long story short with that one, I was pushed to fail and they wanted me gone from day one. I was basically deemed a threat, like everyone else who came into this poorly run, high turnover, shit job disguised as laid back heaven.

I will say this. If I am fortunate enough to actually end up at a job where I can stay for more than a couple of years, and end up being there for awhile and live to be old, I won't be a fucking lifer. I won't think I'm above the rules for being there longer, and I won't ever make it to where someone trying to get their feet in the water doesn't get to have a chance. In fact I'll probably understand even more just how pathetic it is to do that shit. I really feel bad for any person, especially a young one who hasn't worked before that is put through this.

Bonus: This obnoxious lifer at my current job started singing some shitty, overplayed song in the breakroom because it came on TV. The song (I won't name it to keep private) is one that has played on like 1000 movies, and is one you cringe at hearing at this point. Lifer starts reciting the words loudly, talking more than singing. Inconsiderate and obnoxious as hell, and you just know if someone else were to had done that they'd have been a cunt about it and would never have let it go.
