S. Jackson began her law enforcement career in 1989 where she served as a police officer for two years. She found her passion working with troubled youth and began working inside the juvenile correctional facility. After five years she moved into juvenile probation leaving her post as a sergeant. S. Jackson served for 10 years as a juvenile probation officer before joining the juvenile office under district court under the delinquency/status unit.

In this unit she worked with youths in the juvenile Justice system, investigated crimes committed by juveniles, presented cases for prosecution, and was a interventionist to troubled kids and teens. She served for a brief time in the abuse/neglect unit as well where she helped children who have been victims of abuse and neglect. She was passionate about her role protecting children as well as trying to set them on the right track.

After retiring after a career in the juvenile Justice system. She joined police department as a juvenile detective. In the juvenile unit detectives investigate crimes committed by juvenile offenders. This unique positions exists due to the fact that juvenile cases and adult cases are very different it’s a passionate team of individuals that make these cases.

While also serving as the Sargent in this division. She has also became the area ICAC commander leading the charge to catch and prosecute online sexual offenders who prey upon children. She assists in investigating tips from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. While also conducting and engaging in proactive sting operations. Sharlene Jackson’s commitment to protecting the youth has been a passion of hers throughout her long law Enforcement career from the time she was 21 years old.

She has a degree in criminology and psychology. She says many youths that have come under my care have been victims of violent and or sexual abuse at sone point in their lives. My priorities is protecting future children from becoming victims of these monsters.

S Jackson says she has no plans to retire and loves what she’s doing. Both working with troubled youth and serving in a role that protects children. She has also assists detectives in the crimes against which investigates crimes against children not to be confused with the juvenile unit.

Jackson is known for her blunt demeanor and tough love. She says parents and guardians need to be aware of the savage online predators that are preying upon your children.

Jackson has also worked with multiple federal agencies over her career including the DHS, FBI, and department of juvenile delinquency over the course of her career.
