You did make some fair points regarding people getting canceled and the resentment over that. On the other hand, bigots will take advantage of social media platforms to spread hate. When enough have unified in that hate, they start acting on it. Ie. Shooting black people in their beds. It's hard not to hate people that cheer that sort of shit on. Because to people with empathy that isn't okay. People are still people regardless of the skin color they were born with. Yes empathy doesn't make a person moral. A lot of people would like to be but lack the courage or fall short of their own expectations.
