I do not need your pity
Dear aunties:I do not need your pity. I am 40 and unmarried. I am not a sad case in a promiscuous situation. That does not make me a lesbian. I never had sex with a woman. I am fabulous irrespective of my romantic status. I have freedom to like whoever I want. I can go have dinner with whoever I want. I drive wherever I want. I spend my evenings however I want. If I want to want to watch TV, go to the gym, study, meal prep or have a spa day - it is my choice. I am not 'modern'. I understand that is the polished term for a cheap charactered woman. The pity thing is really disrespectful. My lifestyle is my choice. I know a lot more about each aunty, but I keep it to myself. I do not gossip or spread false rumors. I know the sad realities of each of their lives. It would be classless and illegal to say what I know.
