I am not transphobic but lover is now saying I am

I had an argument with my lover today. For some reason, he was checking out this girl at the convenience store and he commented on her colored contacts (he didn't like them) and then he turned his attention to my bleached hair and said he didn't like that either and doesn't understand why people try to be something they aren't.

I went off on him and pointed out that he likes transgendered women (he does) and I asked how that is any different from people wearing colored contacts or coloring their hair or getting tattoos or plastic surgery. The point I was trying to make is that all these choices are okay and he shouldn't make unsolicited comments like that to random people.

But now he's saying I'm transphobic when I'm not. I believe people should be able to express themselves as they like, not that it's more okay to bleach one's hair than it is to present as a preferred gender...but he misinterpreted it that way.

I apologized for overreacting and taking the thing about bleach so seriously, but he would not apologize for calling me far-right or transphobic. I am legitimately not these things at all and am very hurt that he'd say them.
