so long story short (ish) i’m in a relationship and i’m really happy and love them but i also kinda have a crush on my best friend who recently revealed they have a crush on me and my partner, and i like them back and told them today but i’m scared because my partner doesn’t know and idk how everything’s gonna go because my bsf has known for a couple days that i was struggling with not knowing how i feel but now that they know its them it all feels more complicated and i don’t know what to do but i know that of anything starts to go any further i’m going to have to talk to my partner but i just scared because idk how they feel and it’s all just a confusing mess.

If we actually want to make this work, if there's a remote sliver of a chance, we'd have to sit down and communicate and hash out realistic compromises. No relationship should require one person to make all the sacrifices or too many that they're overwhelmed. If the changes you demand of your potential significant other are so great that they're not that person anymore....then it's not them you really want.
