This whole thing of showcasing fans getting emotional at the existence of whatever the fuck is annoying. Some 30 something year old almost crying because some cartoon meant something to them does not come off as endearing as they think it does.
Good for them that whatever it is was a bright spot. I get annoyed however at how this shit takes up the runtime of documentaries, as they gloss over things that would be 1000X more interesting.
And going back to the people getting emotional. Most of us have been "saved" possibly multiple times by pieces of media. I certainly have been, and I'm sure whoever reading this can also relate to being in such a shitty place that a movie/show/game/whatever the fuck was the one thing that was there for them during a dark time. I say it because no one is special for that experience. Doesn't matter if the thing was happy or not, it's VERRRRYYYYYY likely that other people got the same somewhere. Good for you or whoever, just don't act like this mass produced thing is only yours, and only you understand it.
