Character flaw

I get it. The u.s. is full of very lonely people that are so desparate for connection, that even a cyber connection will suffice. At least for a while. Or until their bank account gets hijacked, and the love of their life simply vanishes without a trace. I will have to admit, my cyber encounter was tenacious. For nearly a year, we texted, chatted, he even sent roses, candy, and a stuffed bear. He claimed to live in California, and signed on his last forestry contract in Canada before retiring. A few weeks, then he would be free to enjoy a care free life. So many plans. Of course, as predicted by many, a few weeks turned into 2 months. Then 2 months, turned into a permanently stuck situation, that only the financial help could free him ,to return to the u.s. of course, once his retirement was processed, he could easily pay back with interest. Fortunately, no matter how connected i felt to him, I stood my ground. No way in hell was i loaning him money. I told him that i knew he was scamming me. I blocked n him. Over a month passed. And i get an email from him. He explained that he was now in spain! He agreed to go work on a project in spain as part of the original contract, to offset the funds he lacked to replace equipment needed to complete the work. So he worked out n the deal. He had to contact me to let me know that was for real and he would be with me very soon, and he was sorry for causing prior distrust. We corresponded through email for a few days. Now , here comes the kicker, he wanted to call me. Claiming that he needed to hear my voice again, how he missed it so much. I agree, .and when i heard his voice, it was a completely different voice!! What kind of scamming operation would be ignorant enough to use another dude to portray this character that i had many conversations with prior to the initial break off.? Totally different accent, pitch, tone, cadence, a totally different person portraying this cyber character!!! I hung up in shock. Then i texted him, revealing my anger and disbelief. And he confesses that he disguised his voice from the beginning, that this was his actual voice. .
I blocked him in every way. He never got a dime from me. He knew i didnt have money, why pursue someone who isnt going to pay out? Some people are just twisted
