Arguing with your doctor

One of the many reasons I am leaving mainstream medicine and primary care (along with around 4 doctors I convinced in my current hospital) is the people. The fucking patients. And yes, that's what most of think but will never say.

Patients are FUCKING INSUFERABLE in this day and age. And I honestly wish some of my patients just dropped dead at home so I can stop seeing them and dealing with their messages and bullshit.

Entitled, profoundly ignorant, stupid, and with added personality disorders. Most patients are just awful.
The worst part is that this practice caters to the so called "underserved" Medicaid and blue-collar reprobate parasites. They are actually over-served. Because all their housing, their bills, their food and healthcare are 100% covered by my fucking taxes. I don't even think a good 10% of my patients have steady job. If they do, they are here every other day asking for FMLA paperwork and letters to continue to miss work because of a stumped toe, or chlamydia.

Even with all of this, I have to follow ethical standards to give them the best treatment possible. and they STILL ARGUE with me because they saw some stupid shit on TikTok or Chat GPT that is poorly documented and with zero evidence base.

Ok bro, your weed head high school diploma ass is going to top my medical school, residency and two fellowships I had to spend in order to be here.

They can go fuck themselves.
I used to consider myself a veterinarian instead of a doctor because I though most of these people were animals.

But I realized animals are better patients. And they are innocent; they have no malice.
