i feel like my boyfriend and i constantly have to walk on eggshells around each other. It seems like we constantly get frustrated and irritated with each other and i try to communicate and be patient and put forth the effort to try and salvage our relationship and he doesnt respond or do anything. We both work 40+ hours a week and im expected to come home and cook and clean and pick up after him and do his laundry and take care of everything while he gets to relax and play video games. I try telling him i appreciate him and how hard he works but i also need help around the house sometimes too. He doesnt compliment me anymore even when i get dressed up, only sometimes when we have sex will he compliment me. I try to communicate about doing better on both of our ends and all he says is “sorry ill do better” and nothing ever changes. If i leave im homeless and i have nothing and im scared to leave but im unhappy and drained and tired of trying every day to not even get a compliment in return. I feel like i ask for the bare minimum and i cant get it, but hey if he wanted to he would right.
