Why do people tell people to GET HELP

Why do people tell people to GET HELP

For a moment I want you to imagine a 10 year old child getting to watch as his Stepdad punches his mother over and over again to where she is bleeding and screaming for him to stop. This went on for years till he finally went to spank me with a Belt for calling my grandma (he thought I was calling to tell her what he was doing to my mother) As he went to spank me the Belt Buckle was what hit me. Their is nothing no one can ever tell me that will make me get that moment out of my head 38 years later I can still hear my mother screaming "please don't kill me". She let that man back into her life 3 times and each time he went back to the same thing which was beating my mother. I am 47 years old and I have never hit a woman in my Life because of that man. These people you tell people to go get help with are only there because of a paycheck they don't care about anything but getting paid and even if they didn't nothing anyone can tell me can help fix the damage that shit put into my life and into my head. Next time you go to tell someone to GET HELP realize that some people are so broken that help would not work even if they tried to get it and I've always wanted to be a Father and a Husband to give a woman and her kids the Love a real man should give that is the only strength I have left in me is fighting to keep going for the woman I am meant to be with and the kids I am meant to Love....only she can fix the damage you people think that person that can HELP me can give.

We were beat on the regular with the belt and any other item within reach. I feel you on the broken part. However, you can never and I mean never expect or impose on another to heal you and in saying that a relationship can fix what a monster did is not fair to them or you. No one person can really know what makes you tik except YOU. I agree getting 'help' isn't always an option because you don't feel understood, but again, don't put this on another. Learn to love yourself first, understand it was never your fault, and know for a fact, you did not deserve that treatment. NO CHILD DOES, EVER!
