US Foreign Aid Cuts

All the cuts in critical US foreign aid and Trump's decided to dole out tens of thousands of US foreign aid money to Greenland for their Annual Dogsled Race for dog sled transport logistics!? In a world where a person can travel to anywhere in the world in 12hrs and return home with whatever disease they are bringing back home with them, Trump would be wiser to continue US foreign aid programs worldwide that control HIV or risk another AIDS epidemic here in the US. Keeping HIV/AIDS mitigated with medication and prevention worldwide means less chance of exposure leading to contraction which means less possibility to bring a problem back home on return to the US. The same holds true for other deadly viruses like Ebola. That amount for the sled race seems insignificant, but it could make a difference if applied to supplement efforts already underway in some foreign health programs that are already working with very little. Here's fun fact for Trump's administration: the most mutations observed in the COVID virus was in an HIV positive patient. If these two viruses have more opportunities to get together like this, it could result in an even more deadlier variant of vaccine resistant COVID.
