Trump Says Nyet To Tomahawks

Zelensky, dressed up in his "finest suit", arrives at the WH to met with Trump to complete the deal of US Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine. This deal was thought to be a fait accompli, so much so Zelensky's EU/UK allies did not even bother to tag along this time for moral support. They figured no need, Zelensky seems to have taken to heed all their training tips on how to deal with Trump. All that would be needed was for Zelensky to smile politely while shooting the bullshit cordially with Trump & his administration toadies in front of media cameras, then sign paperwork or whatever to receive the Tomahawks being mindful to effusively thank Trump for them in front of said cameras -- the WH photo op, the whole reason he had to fly his ass all the way over to the US in the 1st place because a picture is worth a thousand words for next year's improbable chance at that Nobel Peace Prize.

But no, while he was flying his way over to DC, Putin called Trump and quashed the deal before Zelensky even landed in the US. So all Zelensky got was a "nyet" to getting US Tomahawks and a bunch of excuses from Trump as to why not. The "excuses"-- war escalation concerns, US stockpile inventory concerns, etc -- while valid ones, in a properly run administration where a competent POTUS has placed competent people in cabinet positions, should have all been discussed with and known by the POTUS before dragging Zelensky over to DC on an errand to deal with a fool in the WH who seems to have just been informed they existed after his call with Putin.
