The slow crawl to Hell

Everyday I see that some construction has been approved, be it more fossil fuel burning or data centres. And everyday I see people just carry on, blissfully unaware.

The climate will get closer and closer to being uninhabitable, and ir starts slow. Sure prices go up, but they always have, maybe you start to notice less bird song or more air quality related medical conditions in family members. But in some decades when you are having those same conditions sooner than your parents did, you'll look around and realise you've not heard bird song for years, the price of food and bills are so high that you and everyone you know works longer hours and multiple jobs but its just been the norm and no one questioned it. You've had multiple horrible plague outbreaks, fuel price hikes from new wars and billions of immigrants dilute the country you barely remember as a result of these wars and climate damage. You're on your death bed before you get to retire at 75, you were never expecting to make it. Your grandkids don't know what coral is and will never see it, let alone see or eat any seafood, that all went extinct years ago. In your grandkids lives they will experience complete collapse of society, food and famine wars, wars for water and arrible farming land. And not just wars between countries, wars between factions of local people. This is our future, but its so painfully slowly developing at first, that we are helpless to stop it against so much misinformation and propaganda, blinding us for the benefit of billionaires.
