Society: more than you're working now.
Me: can you give me some sort of benchmark to aim for?
Society: sure, but the benchmark will consistently move about every 4 months.
Me: so however much I'm already working the answer will always be that I have to work more?
Society: yes.
Me: Okay, that sounds like a good way to die of sheer exhaustion by 40.
Society: yeah you wish.
Me: *turns 40 and eventually 45 in this shit*
