Taking tools that are not theirs

People seem to think they can help themselves to my tool chest without my permission. If they needed to borrow a tool for their job, they could've just asked and I would've lent it to them. So fed up with this shit, I mounted a heavy duty lock to my tool chest. Now they have to come up to me and ask. And when they do, I play head games with them because I just like being a total prick to them now

Well they probably didn't ask because they thought you would say yes. If they said yes isn't the issue. If you are going to be a dick about it then you are a flog. If they were stealing I understand but if not don't be a flog

Sometimes you have to be a "flog" because otherwise some people will continue to walk all over you. But "flog" is just another tool in life's toolbelt, and like you wouldn't use a screwdriver to pound nails, you wouldn't use "flog" on people that would get the message right away to not fuck with you or your stuff. There are situations though where "flog" is needed, unfortunately.
