siding with spouse over kids

If you side with your spouse over your kid. You kid WILL remember that. Don't act like it's not your fault when that kid grows up and doesn't stand by you, because you never stood by them.

My parents always put themselves first. Kids were an after thought. My parents both loved ruining things for me. If they knew I was excited or counting on something, 9 times out of 10 they'd find a way to ruin whatever it was or take it away.

My dad would always side with my mother when she was being an unfair cunt, then he'd pretend to be on my side and say under his breath how it was all bullshit and me and him are put last. NO, he put himself first and foremost. He was only even there because he was too stupid and poor that he couldn't leave. He could have did better for me, and didn't. He sure as hell never went without.

It's funny. My dad has a friend whose like a slightly more functional version of my dad. Still a piece of shit. Well, that guy hates me now. He ignored the fuck out of me the last time I saw him, and I know why. Basically, he had a kid who he didn't do right by, the kid has nothing to do with him now as an adult, and I guess he's projecting that onto me since my dad bitched to him about how I don't come around or talk to him anymore.
