SENIOR HIGH TRACKS

I'm a student in Senior High. I took up Arts and Design as my track and enjoy it, no matter how hard or exhausting most of the work is. The problem is that they said that I have no future, that what I'm taking currently (Arts and Design) is worthless, and that if I do continue pursuing the arts, they won't support me in the future.

It's so discouraging to continue studying when your family tells you they're ashamed of you for simply choosing what you love. I fell into this pattern in my previous years, losing the motivation to continue doing well in school because of them. They told me that if I continued taking arts, I should just drop out instead and work in a bar at this very moment or perform on the streets and beg for money. And they have the fucking balls to tell me not to be discouraged to study.

The thing is, too, they let me choose my path when I applied for Senior High. If they didn't agree on it in the first place they should've just not enrolled me and told me to take on a different strand. I'm tired of their treatment, and I've started doubting everything I've done because of them.
