roommate cat situation

my cat is a bit of a mischievous guy admittedly. I left for a 7 day trip with the care of my cat to my roommate. They refuse to clean the litter box and I don’t mind that at all so I got my sister to do it. Well I had to pay my sister to do it. However I got in an argument with my sister on the trip so she didn’t come by even though I already paid her. Amongst that we had a new roommate move in no warning with another cat. so my cats been a bit more chaotic then usual due to the changes. my roommate complained to me about the situation and I apologized. I apologized right away when I realized my sister never came to clean the litter box. I also revealed I was paying her to do so. My roommate then says that they also should have been paid. I told them I was only paying her since there was no other option. I asked my roommate to watch my cat, and I figured it wouldn’t be an issue since we talked extensively before moving in together about getting a cat and have already lived together for almost a year. I after crying and getting super mad. Calmly text them I apologize for my cats behavior, you agreed to watch him, I only paid my sister because there was no other option, and there was nothing more I could have done since I was gone for a week and couldn’t help out. I’m still so pissed about the situation but the asking for money sets me off the most. We were genuinely good friends a couple months back but lately our relationship has completely changed and withered.
