Rip tide

I am a strong swimmer. I was once swimming in the sea and I got caught in a rip tide. I panicked for a while. It had never happened before. My life flashed before my eyes. Then one man on the shore guided me to go sideways after which I was able to safely return to shore. Horror. Sharks in the area were rare. That was my horror story.
