Pinball Leagues

God, what a group of cliquey outcast fucks. You ever see Perks of Being a Wallflower? You're not missing much if you aren't. Theres this group of kids on there who the main character hangs out with, these fucks all pretend they are the nice ones and the jocks and cheerleaders and everyone else at the school were the assholes. Reality being that this group of rejects were the biggest snobs out of everyone. That's what pinball league is like.

They are very unwelcoming and rude towards people who aren't "in." Very slim likelihood if you go as a newcomer that anyone will even attempt to talk to you. Dickhead monitors (yeah grown ass man/woman who has to watch the other 30 and 40 somethings like this is daycare) will stand there RIGHT INFRONT OF A MACHINE they aren't playing and will block it.

Whatever bars or arcades that promote these leagues always boast about how wonderful, accepting, and helpful these fucks are. No, they aren't. They are rude, conceded, self-centered, vulgar, and just all around unpleasant to be in any proximity to.

"What did you do to piss these people off? I bet you're the asshole." No. Going into a place that has league going is like this. Everyone is standing in the way. People are cussing, like how trashy kids would while in line at the county fair. Fuck this, motherfucker that. Someone begins to talk about pop culture shit, and then one of the many know-it-alls then ramble on and on like they are the only one who ever saw the movie Big.

If you want to get involved in playing, the person in charge will be very curt and dismissive towards you. They will look at you like you aren't shit because you haven't been there before. No way you've ever played The Adams Family (one of the most basic bitch pinball machines out there) or could have any idea what you're doing.

You are basically like a sardine in a can. Are ignored by the cliquey assholes, yet have to hear every word coming out of their mouths. The most insecure people in these groups will be in a giant pissing match with one another. AKA the two losers who have nothing better to do than to be there every week and to spend thousands of dollars to get the top scores, they talk shit and pretend to be in friendly competition with the person who is closest to taking the title of alpha loser.

These groups and games are supposed to be about fun. At the end of the day it shouldn't matter who wins or loses. Who has the top score on whatever the fuck. It's supposed to be for enjoyment. Yet, these social outcasts have ruined it, like they do with everything else.

Would you rather enjoy whatever you like in solitude and actually get to savor it, or go to a "league" that's supposed to celebrate it and end up around a bunch of immature insufferable fucks who can't even let a person concentrate because they won't shut the fuck up? I'd pick the first thing too.
