pee wee herman part 2

so, i ended up watching both parts to the pee wee herman documentary. here are additional takeaways.

that gothic chick from Batman Forever who was supposed to have been pee wee's real life girlfriend wasn't ever. she was a social climber who hung around him so she would be featured in tabloids. Paul was apparently always gay. And this documentary really tried to spin the detail of the girl on Pee Wee's Big Adventure, saying she was his girlfriend on the movie. No she wasn't. She kinda liked him, he didn't like her. And she was probably a teenager and he was like 30 something. I just ask why on why they even wanted to spin that narrative.

One part that made me chuckle and shows his fucking ego. he was claiming he had gay relationships with high profile 80s actors during the peak of their careers. I really doubt some big name 80s guy actor really wanted to fuck Pee Wee of all fucking people. Could I imagine maybe he and Keith Haring or someone fucking once? yeah, probably happened. But really, I'm thinking his only real romantic relationship was with the black guy he was with in his 20s.

People said how hard Pee Wee was to get along with. he wasn't easy to work with on Pee Wee's playhouse. He also left behind many of the people he worked with at The Groundlings, proudly proclaiming that it's showbiz. Yet he bitched that Tim Burton got all the credit for Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and resented that Phil Hartman went out and made a name for himself instead of living under Pee Wee's shadow.

When it came to the shit about his 2001 legal trouble for possession of sick shit. the movie said he was innocent. I actually felt sorry for him right here. He was a sex obsessed pervert. He was, but I dont wanna believe he was a pedophile. plenty of other things, but I don't want to believe that, and don't as of right now. But, the one thing that is alarming is how he had that sick fuck from Feris Bueller over at his house, the guy who was also on Ed Wood (directed by Tim burton). So, you have that sick fuck, connected to both paul and Tim Burton. Maybe I'm just connecting dots. I just think about how sick fucks sniff each other out.

And my biggest take away is this. He was a pretty fucking lonely person from the looks of it. He had a secretary who was basically a surrogate wife, and that woman's child was the closest he ever had to being a parent. He didn't really open up to anyone.

Like yeah, he had enough money to live. But I guess as I get older, I don't really envy famous people like I used to. Most of them die alone and usually pretty poor. Like when I was young and hungry I envied not being in constant crisis mode, and thought fame was the only way I could get that. Im definiately not famous and don't want to be. Am out of crisis mode (knock on wood) for the first time. I'd take living a normal life out of crisis, than being type casted as a character that really wasn't that great in the first place.

he also openly bragged about homoerotic subtext being on pee wee's playhouse. I never saw it that way as a kid. also, racial shit. again, I never saw it that way. you know, racism really is taught. like you can't identify with a character unless you're the same ethinicity. all horseshit, people relate with how a character acts.

I really don't want to see anymore Pee Wee stuff since he's dead. He was not a good person. the show seems a lot stupider in an uncomfortable way than I remember. I used to always want the Pee Wee's Playhouse playset and have debated on spending a few hundred to buy it, but I'm not now. It'd be a retarded way to piss away some money, on something I would have really liked as a kid, not as an adult who understands more and more that there really wasn't ever any magic in the shit I liked, and I'd never want to go back to my upbringing.

with all of that said, I think I will probably go ahead and get rid of my Pee Wee's Big Adventure DVD.
