NY is an awful awful awful place to try to raise pets. It's so expensive and you need to own your own home. The OVERWHelming majority of apartments and coops don't allow pets.

You get all of the media coverage. Your state gets a boo boo, everyone comes to kiss your ass. The weather is far more mild than it is at other places. Not to mention, you always get events and concerts and actual shit to meet people at.

Move to NY since you think it's so great? There are planes, trains, and automobiles - YOU don't like your life - follow your own advice - MOVE.
