So I have this absolute Karen as my boss at a daycare. I basically run the 1-2 year old room, (alone and I guide other people that are in the room with me, it’s my room) and no one else in our building can or wants to run the class for an extended period of time. You’d think my boss would atleast give me the respect of calling me a teacher. My proper title. But she insists on calling me an assistant to our families. Plenty of them are really nice and understanding about her attitude and they and I know I am really a teacher, but in my bosses on words “is taking me down a peg”. I’ve worked in that room for almost the entire year I’ve worked at this center. I would just like to be given the same respect that every other teacher has (and I have an English Associates degree over other teachers with no education) I’m also 10 classes away from my bachelors so I’m just trying to push thru.

I would have said to quit and find a new job somewhere else with a boss and workmates that care and would stand up for you. but I guess you're almost there so keep pushing through! You'll get there. There's always idiots in life. anonymous 3 hours ago
