Israel Targeting Press Freedom

Palestinian journalists covering the Gaza war were awarded the UNESCO press freedom prize a few days ago. This prize honors media workers promoting press freedom, especially in areas facing wars. More than 100 journalists & media workers, mostly Palestinian, have been killed in Gaza, with many of them deliberately targeted by the Israelis for death; many have had their families have targeted & killed as well. Bearing the brunt of most of these deaths has been the Al Jazeera news channel because it is one of the largest and most influential international news networks in the world, that also has an English only division that loses nothing in translation of the coverage of the 1 Samuel 15:3 genocide being committed by Israel.

So what does Israel do today? They have shut down all Al Jazeera media broadcasting operations including internet in Israel, seizing their broadcasting equipment in raids in Israel, and illegally by Israel Occupied East Jerusalem which under international law is Palestinian land. Guess the Israelis don't like the bad optics of their genocide being broadcast unfiltered and/or highly curated by them or their western media allies, which is too bad for them because it will still be broadcast live from Gaza around the world for all to see.
